So, judging by the PHENOMENAL response (haha), everyone loved the Blue Love story. Michael Ottoboni told that joke my freshman year in high school on the way back from the varsity basketball team state championships in Tacoma. It was really rather cruel of me to post it, but...well my life felt very pointless and out of control that day, just like the joke.
I go back to work tomorrow after a three-week medical leave. Although I am physically able to sit in a chair in front of a computer for eight hours straight, three weeks has given my mind the space to wonder if there's something better out there. I have a few things up in the air, each with their own advantages, and hopefully this week will see the end to lots and lots of waiting.
This weekend I attended a mini-conference for LDS mid-singles (singles between 31-45). I wasn't sure what to expect, but overall I enjoyed it very much. It was nice, for once, to be in a group of people of my relative age and situation and not feel like I have to apologize for existing without an other half. Wherever I end up after the end of this week, I plan on getting very involved in mid-singles activities.
There were a few breaks during the conference, and (though I shouldn't have, I'm still sore) I managed to go grab a couple of caches. I placed a geocoin that I've had for a couple of weeks, and I am now only eight caches away from reaching my 400 goal. Woohoo!
With lots of time and not much energy, I have managed to get a bit more writing done on my book, and this weekend I wrote about ten pages and outlined several of the scenes I need to get done in order to tie up all the loose ends. It is pretty exciting.
I've been upgraded. Instead of teaching the four year-olds in Primary, I will now be teaching the eight year-olds. I think I am happy about this, although I was just starting to get comfortable with my other class. Teaching the older kids will be yet another set of challenges. Funny how life seems to switch things up on you just when you're starting to feel like maybe you aren't inept after all.
I hope life is going well for anyone reading this. My life is on the brink right now...good things could be waiting, but who knows for sure. If you are reading this today, post something about something good in your life, just so we can all have a reason to be happy. :)

I have pink zinnias blooming in my garden, which is definitely a reason to be happy :)
